Colours, Creativity & Climbing High - Day 2

If Day 1 was about settling in, Day 2 was about adventure, exploration, and non-stop energy. From the very first activity, the Jamboree site came alive with laughter, movement, and the sound of Guides discovering new experiences together.

Across camp, the activity zones were buzzing. From the creativity of crochet and crafts, to the thrill of rock climbing, to the delicious smell of damper baking in the Bush Zone, there was something for everyone. Patrols threw themselves into challenges with determination, teamwork, and plenty of smiles every corner of the site echoed with excitement.

Beyond the zones, the Marketplace was once again a roaring success. Stalls brimmed with swaps, badges, souvenirs, and stories being shared. It wasn’t just about trading items it was about making connections, sparking conversations, and carrying a little piece of jamboree home. Laughter spilled out from every stall, making the Marketplace the place to be.

Just a short walk away, the General Store was equally bustling. Guides lined up in a steady stream to collect pre-orders, restock essentials, and, of course, add a few extra badges to their collections. The shelves turned over quickly as waves of eager shoppers kept the hub busy from morning until evening.

Everywhere you looked across camp, the hubs were alive with Guides. Laughter mixed with the sounds of learning new skills, new friendships being formed, and old friends catching up.

The day began with a burst of spirit as Guides gathered for the Colours.

Patrol flags were waved high, cheered loudly, and the energy was infectious.

Nestled in the trees, Guides rolled up their sleeves to learn outdoor skills the traditional way. One highlight? Making damper with the CWA ladies the smell of golden bread cooking over fire had the whole zone hungry. Sticky fingers, smoky campfire smiles, and “just one more bite” made this activity unforgettable.

Bursting with colour and imagination, the Creative Zone was where Guides stitched, sketched, and laughed together. The most popular stop? Creative crochet, where patient hands and lots of giggles turned yarn into little works of art.

The Adventure Zone was non-stop action and the biggest hit was rock climbing. With helmets strapped on and harnesses secured, Guides scrambled to the top with determination and a few squeals of triumph.

That’s a wrap on Day 2, but it doesn’t slow down yet… tomorrow promises to bring more fun. Including a Bush Dance to remember!
