Sun, Sea & Outback Spectacular- Day 4

A special shoutout to the Murwillumbah Farmers Market for the stunning sunflowers now decorating camp! Their bright blooms have brought a burst of colour and cheer to the Jamboree grounds the perfect touch of nature to match our Bush to Beach spirit.

If Day 3 was all about buzzing zones and Bushdance magic, Day 4 took Guides beyond the Jamboree gates and into a day of big adventures. From Sea World to sandy beaches, from bustling Marketplaces to a show stopping Outback night today was one to remember.

The day kicked off bright and early with breakfast at Bunyip’s Inn, Echo’s Eatery, and Tilly’s Teahouse. With leaders fuelled by the Espresso Roo Café, patrols gathered with excitement for a huge day ahead. By 8.00am, the site was alive with marshals directing groups, chatter about the day’s plans, and plenty of sunscreen being applied!

For many Guides, the highlight was a trip to Sea World. Patrols piled onto buses and headed off for a day of marine magic. From dolphins leaping high into the air to the wonders of the underwater world, Sea World was a chance to learn, laugh, and explore side by side. Patrols returned buzzing with stories of their favourite shows, rides, and animal encounters.

Meanwhile, others headed to the beach, where sun, surf, and sand made for a perfect jamboree outing. Patrols splashed in the shallows, built sand creations, and took in the beauty of Queensland’s coastline. It was a true Bush to Beach moment swapping gum trees for waves and campfires for sea breezes.

Back at camp, zones remained alive with activity. Patrols rotated through challenges and creative fun, proving that even with excursions happening, jamboree energy never slows. Laughter echoed across site as Guides dived into adventure, learning, and friendship.

By afternoon, the Marketplace opened once again, and Guides flocked to swap, trade, and shop. The Marketplace has truly become a highlight of each day a hub of badges, souvenirs, and new connections. The General Store was as popular as ever, with Guides lining up for goddies and plenty of new badges to add to their growing collections.

The evening brought a very special treat the Australian Outback Spectacular. Guides were wowed by horses, music, and storytelling that brought the Aussie spirit to life. With cowboy hats, cheers, and a hearty dinner, it was an unforgettable night of entertainment and culture that had everyone talking on the bus ride home.

Back on site, senior Guides (14–17) had the chance to enjoy their own Choose Your Own Adventure Night a chance to celebrate jamboree in their own unique way.

Day 4 brought the best of both worlds: exploring beyond the jamboree and celebrating together back on site. From ocean wonders to outback legends, today proved that adventure truly comes in all shapes and sizes.

And the jamboree magic continues tomorrow more discoveries, more friendships, and more moments to remember. 🌿
