Adventure, Creativity & Connection- Day 5
By the halfway point of jamboree, you might think the energy would start to slow down but Day 5 proved just the opposite! From beachside adventures to creative bursts back on site, Guides kept the spirit alive from sunrise to sunset.
The Espresso Roo Café was brewing bright and early, keeping leaders smiling while breakfast at Echo’s Eatery, Bunyip’s Inn, and Tilly’s Teahouse fuelled patrols for another action-packed day.
Senior Guides set out on expeditions, heading offsite to explore, challenge themselves, and soak up new experiences. Excited chatter filled the air as they marched off, ready to make more memories away from camp.
The Guides (10–13s) had their turn for a beach day and what a day it was! Patrols ran along the sand, splashed in the surf, played games, and soaked in the sun. It was a classic jamboree moment: friends, laughter, and the beach all rolled into one. By the time buses rolled back into camp, patrols were sandy, tired, and full of stories.

Back at camp, zones remained alive with activity. Patrols rotated through challenges and creative fun, proving that even with excursions happening, jamboree energy never slows. Laughter echoed across site as Guides dived into adventure, learning, and friendship.
After returning, patrols jumped straight into the afternoon’s zones:
World zone: Patrols 1-33 explored global stories, games, and activities that opened doors to cultures around the world.
Creative Zone: Patrols 34–66 dived into arts, crafts, and design, adding even more colour to the jamboree atmosphere.
Both spaces buzzed with imagination, teamwork, and a lot of proud smiles.
The Marketplace came alive again in the afternoon – badges, swaps, souvenirs, and laughter filling every corner. Meanwhile, the General Store remained a favourite stop, with Guides lining up to grab pre-orders, and yes even more badges for their collections.
As the sun dipped, the 10–13s gathered for a Choose Your Own Adventure Night. Patrols picked their own activities, whether it was games, creativity, or simply relaxing together. It was the perfect way to wind down after a massive day, giving Guides the freedom to celebrate jamboree their own way.
Day 5 captured it all the joy of the beach, the colour of the zones, and the freedom to choose your own fun. With friendships growing stronger and the jamboree spirit burning bright, we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
